durante una manovra di atterraggio?
Guarda nel buio
mi è sembrato di scorgere qualcosa
proprio lì
proprio ora.
Molto più facile sospingersi con gli occhi
al di là del cerchio della luce
che abbassare lo sguardo al pavimento
a misurare una realtà che non è altro
che nastri magnetici
archetti di violino
e lavatrici accese
la domenica sera.

Look into the dark
I thought I saw something
just there
just now.
So much easier to direct your eyes
beyond the circle of light
than to drop your gaze to the floor
measuring a life that's nothing more
than magnetic tapes
violin bows
and buzzing washing machines
on Sunday evening.
