Once again, April is here and I am once again celebrating National Poetry Month with my fifth annual 30 for 30 poetry extravaganza. This year we have some returning poets, such as Grace Cavalieri and radio personality Dennis Price, as well as new ones, such as Jacqueline Jules and Zeina Azzam, all addressing the theme of “Love in the Age of Alexa.” And I’m happy to announce that this year’s 30 for 30 will be judged by David G. Lott and Courtney Ford, both editors at the Potomac Review which is sponsoring this year’s event. The winning poet will receive a one year’s subscription to the journal.
So please check this site each day through May 1 (yes, we once again have one additional poet), respond to the poems, start a conversation on this site or join one. Or, if you prefer to have the poems delivered straight to your email box, subscribe to the site by going to the Subscribe to Blog via Email link beneath the archives section on the right hand side of the main page of the site.
Enjoy the poetry and enjoy the warm days of April that lie ahead.
Happy reading,
Mike
