Re(En)Vision Day 16: June Goodenough aka Ricci

               Love’s Cost
(Original Version)

That I have loved and ever lost
       shall tell you of the cost –
    the toll it takes
        when a heart breaks
      is always worth the cost.

unselfish love, enduring care
       although there’s none to share –
        unspoken words of silence trust
  beyond the needs of lust
    if you’re with one to share.

yet let me see within your eyes
     that love within you dies –
    then I shall cry a hundred tears
         and miss you all my years
   for none shall hear when love dies.

if ever love be lost,
    remember that you care –
 let it show within your eyes;
   it makes but dust of fears.

      Beyond Worth
(Re(En)Visioned)

unspoken the words,
yet needs cry one breaks silence;
unselfish let be –
enduring the cost within;
for a loved is ever lost.
