Sylvia Dianne Beverly is a native of South East Washington, D.C. and alumni of Anacostia H.S. and The University of District of Columbia. She is an Internationally acclaimed poet and author, presenting poetry in Brixton, London, England. Celebrating Black History 2018, she and her family received posthumously for her Dad’s bravery and valor during WW II a “Congressional Gold Medal” from the United States Marines. Also in 2018 she was blessed with the rebirth of both of her books “Forever In Your Eyes” Poems and “Cooking Up South”, Recipes and Poetry. syladydi@comcast.net
