Poems by Cliff Lynn and Joanna Howard

Cliff Lynn

Imitating art

this is the most frightening stephen king
novel I’ve ever been a minor character in

Like most little-known poets, Cliff Lynn was a reject from the Gong Show. A U.S. Navy veteran, Cliff resumed writing poetry in 2004 after a 30+ year hiatus, poems spilling from his head like strange little bread ties. Several bakers’ dozens of Cliff’s poems and short stories can be found in small-press journals like Smeuse, Mount Hope and Scribble, and on line on sites like Delaware Poetry Review and Third Point Press. Cliff has judged Poetry Out Loud in Maryland, and survived a Literary Death Match. He co-hosts the monthly Evil Grin reading series in Annapolis, where he lives with somebody else’s dog.

Joanna Howard

Laughing while blindfolded, teaching a roller skate tango to a clutch of flailing toddlers.
