The Northern Region of the Poetry Society of Virginia will present its annual poetry festival on March 24 from 10-3 at Northern Virginia Community College – Loudoun Campus in Sterling, VA.
The festival will feature a panel called “The Healing Power of Poetry,” with poets Katherine Young, Steve Bucher, Zeina Azzam and Mike Maggio. The panel will be moderated by Cathy Hailey.
This year’s featured poet will be Sofia Starnes, former poet laureate of Virginia, who will be this year’s Ellen Anderson Memorial poet.
There will also be an open mic.
The event is free and open to the public.
