Rumble

Ladies and gentlemen, in the red corner we have the challenger from parts unknown,
the number one contender and one of the necessary things you need for a happy home.

This contender is critical and for complete happiness, it is a must.
Please put your hands together and let me hear it for the undefeated challenger, Trust.

And in the opposing corner, we have the reigning leader from high above,
the undisputed, undefeated, untied, champion of the world, Love.

This is a historic bout as either of these competitors could make a relationship stumble.
Ladies and gentlemen hold on to your seats and let’s get ready to rumble.

Trust comes out swinging with lefts of loyalty and rights of righteousness.
Love was on the defensive blocking blows while everyone was watching this.

Trust pressed the attack with hits of honor followed by right of respect,
while love bobbed and weaved using compassion as a shield to deflect.

Exhausted, trust looked at love and threw a devastating blow.
Trust said, “There is no possible way you can have a loving relationship without me you know.”

Love hit trust with the Bible repeatedly and this is what was heard,
“Love thy neighbor as thyself,” now that is written word.

Love endures long, love is patient, and love is kind.
Love does not envy, is not jealous, does not boast, so get in line.

Love bears, believes, hopes, and endures all things, which is a must.
Love is not conceited, it is not rude, and never fails unlike trust.

Dazed and confused, by these biblical combinations trust fell apart.
Love then said, “Trust in the Lord with all thy heart.”

God is love so trust in him and you will never fall.
And still the undefeated champion of the world, because love conquers all!
